We hadn't planned to attend Commencement '95, but tickets, transportation, and parking were provided. All we had to do was walk through detector gates and sit in pouring rain for some hours. The spectacle of some 20,000 huddled in the Memorial Field stands was something new, but the thrill of the procession and the students' enthusiasm remained the same.

In June the Outing Club celebrated a 75-year jubilee at Moosilauke Ravine Lodge. One hundred and fifty people attended with memories of Cabin & Trail, Ledyard Canoe Club, and the Long Walks.

A bust of Ross McKenney was dedicated, as was the Lougee classroom, given in memory of Larry by the Ellis L. Phillips Foundation. Rip and I were there along with my whole family. The room has two purposesa classroom and an extension to the Harold Leich Library and Lounge.

Ruth and John Minary now live in Charlottesville, Va., where the college cheer for UVA is "Wah-hoo-wah!"

Elsie Weeks (Francis), self-described "peppy widow," enjoys a full life with children and grand- and great-grandchildren after a life of world travels.

Jeanie and Robert Brinkerhoff have lived in Irvington, Va., since retirement in 1972. Robert suffers from Parkinson's disease, but Jeanie is in "good shape."

Gene and Dudley Orr visited in Venezuela with Bill Cole's son Christopher last February. They found that country and the United States share a madness for submarines.

During the past few months we have lost the following classmates: King Badger, PhilMayher Karl Pittelkow, Shorty Schutte, and Johnny Saunders. We extend our sympathy to their families.

For the dedication of Larry's room, Rip wrote:

Here in this quiet room we now profess His love for Dartmouth and the Wilderness, Where nature's wisdom on the paths we trod Has brought us all in closer touch with God.
