MARCH 7TH WAS the occasion of the annualdinner of the Dartmouth Alumni ofDelaware, at which Prof. Stearns Morse, newDean of Freshmen, was guest of honor andprincipal speaker of the evening.
Approximately thirty-five sons of Dartmouth gathered at the University Club inWilmington, from all over the state, to hearDean Morse, who was introduced by JohnWoodhouse '2l, President of the AlumniGroup in Delaware. Another highlight of theevening was one of the first Alumni showingsof "The Green Flash-Back"—a new technicolorrelease depicting the effect of the recent warupon the College, and the subsequent mannerin which the College has so rapidly readjusteditself to the postwar era.
Dean Morse, in his talk, enlightened local Alumni with a report on the current situation in Hanover, and discussed most interestingly some of the many problems with which the College is faced in this period of readjustment for the liberal arts college.
Plans are currently being made for spring and early summer picnics, as well as another general meeting soon, at which officers for the coming year will be chosen.
It was reported that a number of the Alumni have completed reports on applicants for the freshman class this fall, and it is hoped that Delaware will have a good representation in Hanover when the September term begins.
