Whether it is post election or post hurricane we always get a good turnout at our regular monthly luncheons. A large proportion of the 17 men who appeared at the Seven Seas for a bite together on November 3 were somewhat bewildered by the outcome of the election, but the conversation was soon diverted from politics to football as Andy Gustafson, now coaching the University of Miami Hurricanes, was on hand.

A date was set for the big mixed party to be held at Delray, and plans to bring out every alumnus living in south Florida were completed. Announcement of this affair appears at the head of this column or in last month's Alumni Notes. I can't be sure which as our luncheons always crowd the deadline for publication which is the sth of the month. Anyway,

the date is December n whether past or future. Dick Plumer '12 proposed our hard working president, Bob Pierce '25, to fill one of the vacancies in the Alumni Council for the southeastern states district. These two vacancies will not appear until next June, however, we all decided that it is not too early to launch campaign to fill one of these with a repre- sentative from the state of perpetual sunshine. We will all be stumping to see Florida represented on the Council by Bob Pierce. His selection was unanimous.

Arthur sporborg 09 who had been nominated to head the Hopkins Memorial Fund committee is moving to Alabama for the winter. Thus, it is impossible for Art to undertake this important job, and our executive committee will nominate another in the near future.
