The party at the Colony Hotel in Delray on Saturday, December 11, was a rousing success. Final nose counting, as charcoal broiled steaks were being dished up by George Bougliton '28 about 7:30 P.M., revealed an impressive total of seventy-four. Just about everyone who had planned to attend showed up even though the sun crossed us up and many had to drive through squally weather to make this our biggest and best event to date.

President Bob Pierce '25 spoke to the group briefly about the winter season dinner in Mi- ami scheduled for Saturday evening, February 19. Prof. Herb Hill is coming down to give us a talk at this affair, and all those present at the Delray party indicated that they would attend. Bob asked Ben Watts '26, chairman of the program committee, to pass along what information he had gathered to help us decide the best spot for this dinner. When Ben had given us the picture of available locations it was decided by vote to have the forthcoming dinner at the Cabana Terrace of the Robert Clay Hotel in downtown Miami.

The date is February 19 and the time 7 o'clock.

Colonel Henry Teague '00, loyal Dartmouth enthusiast extraordinary, is with us again. For years the Colonel has divided his time between Miami Beach and Mt. Washington, where he owns and operates the cog railway. At Mt. Washington he lives in a somewhat grandiose lodge which he playfully refers to as his "hut." This hut has long served as a sort of crossroads where Dartmouth men of all ages and classes are wont to gather during the summer months. This past summer the robust Colonel suffered a series of mishaps which have kept him bed- ridden for several months. You can't keep this man down. When Bob Pierce '25 and LinkDaniels '34 called on him early in January he swore that he would be up and around on his own power in a week's time. During the visit the doctor checked him over, and confirmed the Colonel's boast that his enforced convalescence is about to end. Colonel Teague will continue to reside this winter at his present address which is 125 SW 30th Court in Miami. The telephone number is 4-1659, and Henry wants it known that he will be delighted to see Dartmouth callers at any hour.

Several new faces turned up at the January luncheon. George Hersam Jr. '29, CharlieGarnsey '20, Frank Pelton '93, and Dr. NelsonBlack Jr. '35 were the newcomers. Plans for the forthcoming dinner to be held at the Robert Clay Hotel in Miami Saturday evening, February 19 were discussed. It was decided that invitations will be extended to principals of all high schools in the Miami to Palm Beach area. We hope to stir up interest in Dartmouth in the local high schools with a view to attaining a better numerical showing of Florida boys in Hanover than we now have.
