IN ORDER to set the record straight, we wish to publish a correction concerning our president, Howie Mullin '27. In a previous letter we placed him in the Class of 1928- maintains that he got through the College in the regulation four years, and besides, wouldn't be caught dead in the' Class of 1928. Members of 1928 may reach Mr. Mullin at 430 W. Swon Av., Webster Groves, Lg, Mo., where he is a first-generation resident.
On Saturday, Dec. 13, the St. Louis Alumni Ass'n held a Barn Dance which was attended by some 75 alumni, wives and/or dates, as was appropriate. The party was a huge success, and was particularly enjoyed by Sparky Adams '43, who impersonated Miss Hush, that lighthearted exponent of the old-fashioned dance, and by Norm Probstein '43, who impersonated Sparky Adams: or sometimes vice versa. Among other Dartmouth notables present were: Leigh Turner 'O4, James A. Burns '07, Howie Mullin '27; two Outing Clubbers from the wilds of Alton, Illinois, Rand Rodgers '31 and Gray Magee '3l; Tom Curtis '32, Dick Meyer '33, Bill Rench '34, Chuck Cotsworth •34, Phil Hemphill '35, Harry Deckert '35, Dick Meyers '35, Dan Kerwin '35, Boyd Rogers '35, Jim Alfring '35, Bill Chapman '35, Ed Grace '38, Jimmy Jones '38, Russ Fette '39, Landon Martin '42, Milton Spitz '34, Ted Hinson '41, Art Spoeneman '40, Ernie Grinnell '42, Charlie Edison '43, John Naylor '43, and John McCarthy '43. The above list was compiled from the acceptance cards, not from the memory of your corresponding secretary, who had a fine time, too. Any omissions will be included in a supplement which will be published in the July issue.
Both Bill Rench '34 and Tom Curtis '32, the barefoot 4th Street lawyer, received wonderful Christmas presents with Dartmouth connections. Bill was never able to unwrap his, and anyone who wants to see Tom's will have to unwrap Tom.
The annual Christmas luncheon was held on December 29, at the" Missouri Athletic Club, and was attended by a hundred-andsome-odd alumni, undergraduates, applicants for admission, and their fathers. Talks were made by Tom Curtis '32, on the status of the W. Clark Schmidt '33 Memorial Scholarship Fund, by Boyd Rogers '35, this district's representative on the Alumni Council, and by each of the undergraduates concerning aspects of current undergraduate life.
