A letter from Julie George Hewitt (see photo) says:
"Eddie is always away or too busy to write you any news. He's Sales Manager for the Thomas Betts Company in Elizabeth. He has a wife—the same one—although when reunion time comes around he always forgets it. Some of the boys may remember Julie George of Carnival and Vassar days. Good luck to the Class of '25."
Andy Foster, Assistant Chief of the Commonwealth Division of the U. S. State Department, spoke to the International Relations Club in Hanover on March 8. His topic was "The Foreign Service."
Add to your list of Geisel successes, the nomination of Design for Death for an Academy Award (Documentary Feature Division). The story for the picture, an RKO release, was written by Ted and his wife, Helen. Variety says:
'It is a documentary film of fabulous proportions, far and away one of the most interesting screen presentations of the year."
Bill Sleigh reports that the following '25'ers turned out for an Alumni dinner in Boston on February 4: Jock Brace, Nate Bugbee, LineDavis, Chet Eaton, Foster Edwards, JohnnieGarrod, Lane Goss, Eddie Griffin, Pete Haffenreffer, Don Hunt, Les King, Joe Leavitt, LarryLeavitt, Bunny Levison, Ken Nugent, JakePenney, Bob Rhoades, Fair Sawyer, Bill Sleigh,Lang Spring, Clint Taylor, Frank Wallis, FordWhelden, Lyn White and Woody Wilson. Bill also reports that Eddie Edwards has been made Director of Personnel for the Great A & P Tea Co., so is now located in the home office in Boston. He has recently moved his family here and has a house in Waban, just around the corner from Woody Wilson.
While in Hanover last month, your correspondent was able to round up local '25'ers for cocktails at the Inn. Those present included: Ford and Gertie Whelden, Dr. and Mrs. ReedTanzer, Bob and Katherine McKennan, Artand Leslie Dewing, George and Hazel Scott,Aleck and Dilys Laing, and Bill and TinyGriffin.
MUCH OF THAT WHITE STUFF: Ed Hewitt '25, wife Julie, Vassar '27, and Teddy, Dartmouth '6l, prove that it sometimes snows in Elizabeth, N. J., which is situated just north of Miami and its warmth.
TWENTY-SIXER MOVES UP: Ralph L. Thomas '26 has received a promotion in the Peoples First Na- tional Bank & Trust Cos. of Pittsburgh. A former assistant vice president of the bank, he is now vice president in charge of the Correspondent Bank Department.
