Bob Davis was at Harwichport on Cape Cod this summer. I called on him there but did not find him at home. Had a letter from him later in which he said he was waiting for the boat. He is having some trouble with his eyes, so does not correspond freely. He has a large farm in France with a herd of about 200 blooded Holsteins. His children are married and gone away. He seems kind of lonesome for the old familiar faces. He went on at some length about the advantages of raising a family in the United States.
Some of the men are beginning already to point for the reunion in 1953. All should keep their eyes on that time. We hope to have the best turnout of all, and to get men who have never been back and those who have not been back recently.
And that is all the news I have at this time. Get your pens in hand and let me have your news and ideas.
Since sending in my notes I have heard of the death of Robert M. Davis. He died on Sept. 25 after a week's illness at Proctor, Vt. The funeral was held on Sept. 28. A full account will appear in the next issue of the MAGAZINE.
