We received a card from Tute Worthen, address, P.O. Box 648, Warren, Ariz. He said he had just returned from a six weeks' stay at the Flying H. Ranch, cattle and mink.
The Fred Guardineers had a wonderful trip abroad this last summer, spending two months in Portugal, Spain, France, England, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. However, whether or not due to his travels, Fritz had a severe heart attack on September 14, and was rushed to the hospital where he stayed until October 1. He is now improved enough so that he can drive his car a little and expects to be able to resume his usual activities after January 1.
Buck Lewers says he has ten of the wildest grandchildren ever. He can take them only in short, homeopathic doses at a time. Forrie Hall says his great grandchild is now nine months old and is in Norwalk, Calif., where his father is in the Air Force.
Capt. and Mrs. Kelley are enjoying their new home in Monrovia, Calif., the best .state in the Union, so he says, away from snow, ice and cold. How about earthquakes, Kel?
The E. L. Browns celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in August with a party of twenty given by their niece, and again when O. W. and Amy Smith, also celebrating their 45th, took them and the Bennetts out to dinner.
The Kidgers expect to be in Anna Maria, Fla., after January 1. They were in Hanover awhile back while Marion attended a New Hampshire Smith College Club dinner at the Inn. Bee Watson was there too. Horace had a fine time roaming around Hanover. Among the things he saw was The Paul 1903 Room in Baker Library and the Kenerson books in the Tower Room.
Wynne Matteson sent his greetings to '03 from Denver. He has recovered completely from his auto accident. He enjoys the Dartmouth Club, Rotary and his two grandsons.
Peerade Drown writes that he is getting sick of the Adirondacks; too much rain. He remembers a six weeks' stay at Lake Tahoe on the California-Nevada line when there was not a drop of rain the whole time. He is thinking of the Cape for next summer, which will have our encouragement.
Bill MacLennan writes that he is busy with winter flowers, and his wife, Eunice, with her painting. They expect to go to the Yosemite for a little snow time.
Stanwood Cobb has recently had published The Magnificent Partnership. It is the story of the partnership of Sylvanus Cobb Jr. and Robert Bonner, publisher of the New YorkLedger. Stan is a nephew of Sylvanus Cobb Jr.
The Ralph Pillsburys left for California, December 14. They expect to visit their two daughters, one in Arizona and the other in California. The one in California is married to an Air Force T/Sg., has spent three years in Japan, and expects to go to Fairbanks, Alaska, about June 1.
