Your secretary attended the ceremonies at the Webster grave in Marshfield, Mass., on October 24. President Dickey, on behalf of the Trustees of Dartmouth College, presented to the Town of Marshfield a bronze tablet mounted on a block of New Hampshire granite memorializing the 100th anniversary of Webster's death. This brought back memories of the celebration of the centennial of Webster's graduation held in 1901 while we were in College. I met Al Pratt there. He looked well and said he felt fine. The alumni were represented in goodly numbers.
The announcement of the wedding of McElroy's granddaughter started the ball rolling. Forrest Hall writes that his oldest grandson Stanton Hall Proper was married to Miss Kathryn Eckloff of Penacook, N. H., on June 23, 1951. On September 8, 1952, his second grandson Richard Warren Proper was married to Miss Roberta Ann Robinson of Keene.
Is there a greatgrandfather in the class? Ned Kenerson called on us and told of his trip to Alaska and his journeys through New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine where he met various classmates. We talked over the coming reunion.
The class officers are busy on reunion plans and expect soon to make some announcements.
Stanwood Cobb was the speaker at the weekly meeting of the Dartmouth Club of Washington on October 21.
Harold Hess sent me some notes which will appear in next issue.
