his pianist back on the job at the A & P the next morning after witnessing an unsuccessful attempt by an over-enthusiastic alumnus to assault said player with a dangerous weapon, to wit, an empty beer bottle. It seems the unsuspecting lad got his signals mixed and started to play the "Whiffenpoof Song." Approximately three dozen Big Green stalwarts turned out for the annual observance of Dartmouth Night, October 7, at the Saturn Club. Your secretary passed around a copy of the traditional telegram sent to President Dickey. Everyone present had a most enjoyable evening. Don Scully '18 is making arrangements for the annual Christmas luncheon tor undergraduates, parents and alumni. You will be hearing from him relative to the time and place in the near future. The Glee Club is tentatively scheduled for a concert in East Aurora on March 28. More about that later.

BUFFALO BRIEFS: The club extends its sympathy to Helen Sheeler, wife of Bill '19, who died suddenly on August 27. Cheerful news: Rosemary and Jack Marlette '46 are the proud parents of a baby girl; Helen and Lew Harriman Jr. '38 have a new candidate for the class of '7O in Lewis III; Bob Common '40 deserted the bachelor ranks and married Alice Greene. Vacationing in Hanover during the annual 1926 "get-together" were Lois andCharlie Abbott '26 and Grace and Paul Venneman '26. In nearby Norwich for several weeks were Louise and Burt Gale '17. HughieJohnson '30 is the author of the current nonfiction best seller, "Johnson's Investment Company Charts." Lew Harriman Jr. '38 won the Nelson Graves Award, given annually to the Junior Chamber member who contributes most to the organization in his first two years as a member.
