The Dartmouth night celebration at the Saturn Club was one of the best turn-outs in recent years and everyone seemed to have a good time. Bob Winship '49 led the group in singing and was accompanied by JohnKnapp '50 at the piano. The film, "Dartmouth Outdoors," was shown to bring Hanover to those who were unable to be there for the Syracuse weekend. Incidentally, the Club purchased this film with the idea that it would be a useful medium to show in secondary schools to generate and further interest in Dartmouth. To date no one has taken advantage of this excellent opportunity to demonstrate one aspect of Dartmouth life to prospective matriculants. The following alumni were among those present: Ed Felt '18, Don Scully '18, Heber Ashley '19, Lorin Goulding '21, Herm Oliver '22, Herb Darling '26, A1 Cooley '29, Sherm Little '29, Proc Martin '29, John Cheney '30, Ted Wolf '30, Hugh Johnson '3O, John Cogswell '30, Whit Daniels '32, Connie Schuck '37, Bill Donaldson '38, Lew Harriman '38, Carmelo Gugino '38, Prescott Downer '38, Bob Common '40, Oscar Acer '40, Jack Cowan '40, Ed Marlette '41, Bill Hart '42, Dick French '42, Hank Davis '42, Fritz Geller '43, Jack Ahern '45, Greg Stillman '45, John McCauley '45, Warren Agry '45, Sam John..son '46, Jack Marlette '46, Bob Yung '46, Ash Gale '47, Jay Larmon '47, Bob Winship '49, Jack Harlow '50, Woody Smith '50, Bob Hebard '50, John Knapjj '50, and Bob Wilbie 51
The regular monthly luncheon meetings are held the last Monday of the month at The Spur on Niagara Square. Members of the executive committee are reminded that they are supposed to attend—all club members are invited.
Buffalo Briefs: The Club extends its sympathy to the families of Evans Twichell '13 and Sel Mack '20, both of whom were active supporters of club affairs. On the brighter side I am happy to report that for the first time in a long while Western New York has two very capable gridiron representatives on the Big Green team: Dave '54 and KarlThielscher Jr. '52, sons of Barney Thielscher '17.
