Says the youngest man in the class, who is appropriately named "Kid" Martyn: "There is no group of men closer to my heart than the grand old guard of '94. The passing years only serve to strengthen the ties. I hope and plan to meet you all at our 55th, which will be close to the date of my golden wedding." Says the oldest man in the class, HermanLovejoy: "I'm glad to report that I have no good reason to grumble about my senile infirmities, with the exception of my rather troublesome right foot which necessitates the use of a cane. 'lmpaired circulation,' my doctor says, is the cause of the swollen and sensitive condition of one of my pedal extremities." Herman seems to have fallen somewhat into the vocabulary of Henry Hurd. At all events, Herman, we shall look for you at the 55th, cane and all.

We don't want our salutatorian to indulge in profanity. However, here is due warning that Paul Jenks may succumb if any member of the class appears at his summer camp in Whitefield in July or August without notifying him beforehand. Reason: Paul wants to have the chance to shoo everybody else off so that he and his '94 visitors can be all by their lonesome. The profanity would be particularly bad since Paul's camp has an Episcopal Chapel connected with it.

Don Colby sent us Boston men into the doldrums last month when he wrote us that he was going up to the Hanover Hospital, and after that he didn't know what. Later reports indicate that all the trouble with Don was that he had his 77th birthday January 11. We expect Don to be in the front line of the Welcoming Committee at the 55th.

Our '94 teachers seem to be our longest-lived bunch. We graduated 16 into that occupation, and 8 are living. The remainder of the occupations stand as follows: business 23, 6: lawyers 16, 6; engineers 11, 6; journalists 4, 2; physicians 7, 2; farmers 4, 1; ministers 4. 1; dentists 1, 0.
