Have you ever wondered what happens to a class of embryonic businessmen? After no small effort with the cross index of a small, paper-bound volume entitled "Directory of Graduates" issued last month by Tuck School, we have tracked down the whereabouts of the '43s who received degrees from that institution in September, 1946 and June, 1947. Some of this information has been published in the class column before, but for the sociological record, we hope you will bear with us.
Taking a look at the September, 1946, class we lead off with Pres Brooks, who is with the investment department of the Royal Liverpool Group (Insurance) in New York City, while Bing Donaldson is a sales representative for IBM in the same community. The only '43-er whose occupation was not listed in the Tuck directory was DickEymann. His address is Pinehurst, Wash. (To forestall any requests for a similar list- ing of '43-ers, who graduated from the other associated schools, we wish to report that such research projects are in the offing.)
A note from Kelly Coffin downstate in Nashua informs us that he has been appointed district manager for the Mass. Mutual Life Insurance Cos. and is now engaged in super- visory and training work as well as personal underwriting. Kelly's future looks good with the firm apparently impressed With his pro- duction record for his first two years in the business.
An item which came to us from the Springfield (Mass.) Nevis discloses that LomaxLittlejohn was the guest speaker at a March communion breakfast for one of the local Catholic churches. Now studying philosophy at Fordham, he plans to publish an account of his conversion to the Roman Catholic faith under the title, "I Found My Way Home." He is also one of the founders of an "Acquaintance Group" in New York City, which includes other recent converts to the Roman Catholic Church.
Further information has been received on Fred Wallis' recent move to Bombay, where he has joined the staff of the Standard-Vacuum Oil Company, a supplier of oil in Far Eastern markets. In preparation for his assignment, Fred completed a 13-week company training course along with 15 others in salesmanship, accounting, distribution and oil productions and operations. A navy officer during the war, he was NROTC instructor at Dubuque prior to his discharge last September.
Recent address changes find Henry Coulter moving from Greensburg, Pa. to Branford, Conn.; George Munroe a lawyer in New York City (George is scheduled to go to Oxford in the fall as a Rhodes Scholar); Allen Phillips a member of the faculty at Hamilton College; Matthew Smith a chemist with Socony Paint Products in Beaumont, Texas; Victor Barringer a captain in the Marines and stationed at Quantico; Freeman Dodge forsaking New York for Provincetown, Mass.; and Paul Harvey now on the staff at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston.

April visitors to Hanover were the BillGlovskys from Brookline, Mass. and the DanWinters from New York City.
One of the most excited and beaming tenants in Alumni Gymnasium office row recently was Rod Wolbarst. The reason was Susan JaneWolbarst who arrived at the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital April 19.
The lone engagement to report this issue is that of Elizabeth Winkfield (Simmons '47) of Jamaica Plain, Mass. to Stan Bolster. Stan is now studying for his Ph.D. degree at Harvard.
Readers of our May class notes column will know that the editor more or less "scooped" us on the news of your secretary's marriage April 10. (The class notes deadline was several days before and our superstitious nature stopped us from including it as a fait accompli.) Needless to say, the welcome mat is out for all '43-ers at 17 Sachem.
And as the class notes section of the July issue is devoted to the reunion classes, this just about wraps it up for the present publication year. Here's wishing one and all a pleasant summer!
