Our first fall get-together was held at Charles Chapman's picnic grounds, where "Chef" Chapman '33 grilled steaks for the following members and their wives: Bill Dreier '24, Bill Marsh Jr. '3l, Jack O'Brion '32, FrankO'Gara '23, Joe Stone '3O, Lou Fortuna Charles Altman '24, Commander Phil Coyken-dall '25, Alva Wilson '25, and "Bachelor" CarlBremer '46.
The party served a dual purpose of welcom- ing back our former president Alva S. Phil denies using personal influence in working a transfer so close to his country estate in New Hamp- shire, but admits he will be able to spend weekends developing his estate.
Several changes in membership occurred during the month. Charles S. Eaton '49 re- turned to the New York office of Jones-Laugh- lin Barrel Cos., and Dana Gumb '47 returned to Massachusetts after completing his gradu- ate course at Georgia Tech. The following have joined our group: William Lies '2l of Cuthbert, and Lt. Howard T. Sawyer '45, Ft. Benning. David Cotten '49 has moved from Athens to Savannah, Ga.
The nominating committee suggested the following slate of officers for the coming year: President—/. H. O'Brion '32; Vice Presidents —Charles Altman '24 and Alva S. Wilson '25; Secretary-treasurer—Louis J. Fortuna '3B. By date of this publication the membership will have had an opportunity to confirm the panel at our annual Dartmouth Night dinner meet- ing held at the Druid Hills Country Club.
