Our September luncheon was quite a success and an overflow group turned out. We were only able to round up one sub-freshman: unfortunately the remainder had already started their trip north. The delegation from So. Florida is growing quite rapidly thanks to the efforts of Bob Pierce '25.
Ben Watts '26 spoke to us about the trials and tribulations of insurance adjusting. His presentation was an interesting and entertain- ing dissertation on a rather dry subject, but he spiced it up with many of his personal experiences since leaving Dartmouth.
One item which has been overlooked to date is the arrival of a daughter, Suzann Brent Dunaway. The proud parents are Jaqueline Brent Dunaway and J. WestonDunaway II '43. "Wes" is very busy selling furniture, but in spite of all that he finds time to take part in all of the Club activities.
During the summer Dick Potter '41 decided it was too hot down here in Florida and moved to New York. I wonder if he found it any cooler there?
The long awaited Alumni Directory has finally arrived and as expected several Dartmouth men are listed who have apparently been in hiding. The Club needs the support of every man, so get out to our monthly luncheon the first Wednesday of each month at the 7 Seas Restaurant, Miami.
NEARING READINESS FOR THE WINTER SEASON: The cabin being built by the DOC of Northern California on Donner Summit in the Sierra Nevada now has four walls and a roof, and plans call for it to be glassed in and finished inside in time for the snow season. Adjoining the cabin is the Quonset hut used temporarily by the club.
