Among, other trekkers South to escape the rigor of a Northern winter were the Kendalls, Nabob Lynch and Charlie and Mrs.Adams.
In this column in the November MAGAZINE, there was reference to an item in a Battle Creek, Mich., newspaper chronicling events of 50 years ago in which it was stated that "Arthur E. Kimball, who graduated from Dartmouth College in June," was to enter the University of Michigan to study medicine. Our Kimmie says " 'Taint him," and that it was Arthur S. Kimball of the Class of 1900.
K and Mrs. Beal have taken up residence for the winter at Henniker, N. H. This move was to save K from commuting in winter weather from Bradford to attend classes he is teaching at New England College in Henniker, with which the late Ernest Silver was associated.
A letter from Mrs. Miller states that Peddle is somewhat better but still bedbound.
The secretary spent the first week of November in Hanover and had much pleasure in roaming about old familiar sites and renewing pleasant contacts. Among our collegeday contemporaries at the Inn was Bob Leavens '01 who with Mrs. Leavens is spending much time in Hanover in his treasured task of preparing a memorial volume of the life and works of Dr. Tucker.
Dave Storrs underwent an operation of a minor nature which kept him in the hospital for some time where the secretary had some pleasant visits with him.
At the request of the editor the column has to be curtailed this month because of space required for the Alumni Fund report.
