More '99ers made their initial appearance into life during the month of November than at any other time of year; so here are birthday greetings to Charlie Adams, Leon Woodman,Joe Gannon, Bert Boston, Albert Galusha, and Fod Martin.

Hawley Chase spent a week-end in August with Joe Gannon at Joe's summer home in Ogunquit, Me., and in July Joe and daughter Genevieve Reed drove to Bradford, N. H., for a call on May and Kenneth Beal. "Tat" Irving spent the month of July at The Inn, Rockport, Mass., and saw quite a lot of Laura and HerbRogers.

And here's a correction for the October Rogers item which should have read: "Herb Rogers' 17-year-old grandson, Stephen Batchelder, was instantly killed in an automobile accident." The Childersburg, Ala., friends of the Batchelders helped in raising a memorial fund for Stephen which will be used at his school.

As these notes are being penned on October 3, the first day of the World's Series ball games, your Sec is thinking how much Lauraand Herb Rogers will be enjoying their new RCA TV set given them by their children a while ago.

After a very busy summer with a couple of trips or so to Kennebunk Beach, Me., and a few more to Washington, Helen and Warren Kendall are back in Sarasota, for the winter. Their last trip north in September also took them to Hanover for the fall meeting of the Bequest Council. Helen has been elected President General of the Dames of the Loyal Legion of the U.S.A.. so looks as tho she'll be busy these coming months.

Amy Ford, of Sarasota, got too ambitious a while ago, got up about 5:30 and started round to open some windows. She unfortunately stumbled and fell, undoing some of the gains made from a previous fall, which made another trip to the hospital necessary. She was attended by a prominent orthopedic physician, Dr. William S. Hatt '45. Amy, back home again, is gaining and is able to be up and around a bit each day. Cards to her would be welcomed.

Ned Baldwin reports a very busy summer, Washington, D. C. Rev. Roger Barney '37, son of our late classmate Len Barney, who was seriously incapacitated over a year ago by polio, has been discharged from Mary Hitchcock Hospital, Hanover, and is back home in Concord. Tho still in a wheel chair, we all hope that he will soon be walking again. Bill Hutchinson's son William Jr. was hospitalized for six weeks with a heart condition. A full year will be needed for his recuperation. Bill and Carrie are planning again to spend the winter with their daughter and husband, Commander and Mrs. Charles L. Lambing at 2403 N. Sycamore St., Arlington, Va.

The thanks of your Sec to those who have sent him news items concerning themselves and others, with the hope that more will follow suit.
