April next thing you know spring will really be here. Golf, Green Key, etc., its always been the best part of the year for my money. We've really been freezing to death down here in the "sunny South." All during the month of February it was strictly shirtsleeve weather but right after the turn of the month it really got cold. Shades of Hanover.
Recent word from last year's football captain, Dale Armstrong, tells of the birth of Dale Murray on February 15 in Pittsburgh. He weighed in at 8 lbs. 12 ounces. Every indication that Cupcake Jr. will be a prototype of his Dad.
The ALUMNI MAGAZINE'S "scissors committee," as someone has so aptly put it, has sent along to me a list of those '46's who received their degrees in February. The list included: Nelson Bryant, John Duncklee, BertramJ belle, William Rudder and Stan Waterman. Congratulations! Wonder how long it will take for the rest to make it!
Among those able to work in a few days at the Inn recently was our able Class Agent Bob Kimball. Others included; Mr. and Mrs.Bob Reny, Tom Ruby and Dr. and Mrs. F. E.Bennett.
Al Martin has recently taken over duties as mathematics and shop instructor at Beal High School, Shrewsbury, Mass. Al was formerly at the Windsor High School in Windsor, Vt.
There isn't too much news this month. I have a proposal to offer. I've been considering rather seriously making arrangements for a pre-reunion get together to be held in Hanover. The main purpose of such an affair would be to get as many members of '46 together as possible for a weekend in Hanover this summer to discuss class matters and make preliminary plans for our reunion. Getting ready for this blast is going to be a big job. It'll be our first real get-together and we want to make it something to remember. In order to do this it is imperative that we have everyone's cooperation in formulating tentative plans. I'd appreciate it very much if you'd drop me a line in the near future if you have any pregnant thoughts on the subject. I'm very anxious to hear from all members of the Executive Committee. If this thing works out the way I hope it does, we might possibly inaugurate a per' manent policy on get-togethers during the interim between reunions. After all, there's no reason why we have to wait for reunions to get together. It would only take five minutes of your lunch hour to drop me a line and let me know how you feel.
That's all for this month. Good luck to you and the Boston Red Sox!
