Notices of the Long Island "Annual Alumni Meeting," main feature of which will be the election of officers for the 1950-51 term, will soon be in the mail. Unfortunately, we didn't have the nomination committee's proposed slate as we went to press, but it is suggested that all members be giving some serious thoughts to likely candidates so they may make nominations from the floor should their favorite candidate's name not be contained on the committee's slate. This meeting will be early in June.

During the five weeks between February 27 and April 1 the Long Island alumni had the opportunity to see the Big Green basketball team trounce Hofstra in Hempstead, the Indian lacrosse team nose out a strong Manhasset Alumni aggregation 8-7, and the Dartmouth Glee Club put on one of their sterling performances at the Garden City High School. While viewing these affairs we spotted a great many familiar faces—many of whom we hadn't seen in a long time.

Here's running off a few at random—apologies for any omissions: John Wolff and Wally Rushmore '32, Bill Bell and Frank Magel '37, Buzz Willis '41, Dan Denham '31, Tony Lyons '49, Jigger Pender '97, Harry Collins and Syl Morey '18, Art Munckenbeck and Eg Cabbie '37, Carle Rollins '12, Dick Holton and Ed Ross '18, Ed Warnke '19, Line Miller and Cliff Hart '21, Chris Suttmeier '22, Bill Wilson '24, John Shaw and Jack Roe '27, Guy Bostwick and Rudy Preuss '27, Phil Orsi '28, Al Fisher '29, Bill Jessup and Carll Buhler '30, Wally Wasmer and Frank Rath '30, Willard Doyle '33, Al Marks '34, Jim Higgins '35, John Mallory '36, Rowley Bialla and Bill Coe '37, Bill Lyle and Bill Wishman '38, Ted Thorne and Bob Frese '38, Bob Forgan and Dave Richon '38, Larry Hull and Don Boyle '38 (guess '38 gets the blue ribbon) , Walt Darby and Jack Coulson '39, Bill Maxon and Fred Bachelder '40, Bert Blake '40, Frank Hall '41, and a great many others who must remain anonymous until such time as my memory gives out with some more monickers to tie in with the familiar faces.

Let's see you all out for the June meeting —and have your dues ($1.00) paid up to Treasurer Phil Orsi (14 Bayview Terrace, Manhasset) so you will be able to vote.
