Carl Owen was recently honored at the first annual citation dinner of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel for his contribution to the fight against multiple sclerosis.... Chan and Mary Cox have been enjoying a month's stay in Florida. Chan suggested that the Reunion Committee hold some meetings down there, but some members have been too busy with ordinary business to get away. We think it was a grand idea, however.

The class has lost another loyal member in the passing of Larry Hardy. Although with us only junior and seniors years, he absorbed more class and Dartmouth spirit than most men in four years. Even with his affiliation he usually made the effort to be in Hanover for the Reunions, and only recently we were in receipt of a very cheery note from him. He will be greatly missed, as he was always a grand companion and a fine friend in every way.

Tom McGovern, after many years as Chief Engineer of the Board of Street Commissioners of the City of Boston, is now Chief of Construction for the Boston Housing Authority, and as Tom says, "if there is a job that can make you old before your time, this is it," but at that Tom indicates that he is happily employed....Doug Vanderhoof writes he is looking forward to being with us in Hanover next June for the big 50th.
