1901-1951 The Big Fifty Year Reunion June 15-16-17 1951
Ted Morehouse writes he is in receipt of a letter from Bill Sykes. They both plan on being in Hanover in June and they are looking forward to having a grand talk-fest. Ted's new address is 2191 Barbara Drive, Palo Alto, Calif Bemus Pierce is still living in Hanover during the winter but gets down to his home in Maine very early and stays late. He keeps busy in Hanover with his studies at the Library, his interests in the college athletics, and bridge in the evening. He has two sons, both juniors at Harvard, one working hard at his pre-medic courses, and the other majoring in economics. Bemus expects to be very much occupied this summer in the development and manufacture of a peat production machine. He still hopes to get back to Hanover for the Reunion... .Johnnie Ward sends in the following list of men of the class present at the recent Alumni dinner held in Boston: Sampson, Calderwood, Cox, Wood, Cheever,Bryant, Ward and Cudworth.... We are in receipt of definite assurance of attendance in June of the" Taylors, the Leaches, the Coxes, the Wards, the Halls, Bill Sykes, the Morehouses, the Bogues, Boy Haskell, the Bishops, the Woods, Joe Raphael and his sister,, the Chases, the Gilmores, and many others.... We would appreciate receipt as soon as possible of all class and Hanover pictures, and other items of class interest. We plan to bring a lot of these items to Hanover with us in June, and to have a room set apart as a sort of museum, where all such material can be shown and enjoyed by all. This material should include memorabilia, pictures, class canes etc. Please get busy and see what you can dig up and send along to Steve Stevens.
