Happy New Year! Lenny Jones reports from the Windy City that he is working as an investment banker in Smith, Barney's Public Finance Division. Prior to relocating to Chicago seven years ago, Lenny worked in Mexico City and the Bahamas for Chase Manhattan and obtained a Stanford M.B.A. Lenny had news about three classmates. Willie Williams is an engineer for GE in the Chicago area but will soon be relocating to Minneapolis. Nicole Stent is a New York City lawyer, and she married Mark Graham '81 in June. And Monte Ivey is a successful comedian in New York City who has hosted several cable-TV comedy shows. He did NOT write the scripts for the ill-fated "Tom Arnold Show." By the way, if you ever want to see an episode from that show, contact Eric Miller in Wellesley, Mass. Eric has the only "Tom Arnold Show" videotape library in the country.
Peter Saltsman has joined the technical staff of Ransom Environmental Consultants in New bury port, Mass. Peter's new place of business evaluates and solves environmental problems for its commercial, industrial, and governmental clients in the Eastern United States and Canada. Prior to joining Ransom, Peter worked in the field of hydrogeologic investigation for Balsam Environmental Consultants and Balor/Western Corporation. According to Ransom's press release, Peter resides in Essex, Mass.
In case you didn't know already, HankMalin, who did a magnificent job organizing our latest reunion, has remained behind in Hanover while the majority of us have left. No, Hank has finished his B.A. degree requirements. He is currently the director of admissions at the Tuck School. Hank and his wife, Susan, have practically cornered the graduate-school admissions market at Dartmouth since she has just been made director of admissions at the Medical School. They live in Lebanon with their son Andrew and a dog named Jamp. Reflective of the strong blood lines in the Malin family, Andrew is supposed to be the admissions director of several Upper Valley day care centers.
From the Foot-in-the-Mouth Department, it was erroneously reported in this column that Wendy Terlizzi had married Randy Gordon and had a daughter named Summer. I'm now informed that Wendy married Gordon Cook, who is the father of Summer. Oh, what the hell. . . Wendy and Gordon live in Portugal, anyway. Nevertheless, apologies to all.
