The Northern New Jersey Alumni Association held its annual dinner in April and elected the following officers: Albert E. Zinggeler '32 was reelected president. Al has come to be known as the president who gave our organization a definite purpose. He has done an excellent job of promoting a positive program to get future candidates for admission to Dartmouth interested in the College and to keep their interest once they have been accepted to Dartmouth.

William Hoffmann '36 was elected vicepresident. Bill is anxious to accept his assignment as a "working" vice-president. One of his first activities will be to try to expand and solidify the membership of the organization.

Bert Englert '42, leaving his past duties as treasurer has been elected to fill the office of secretary.

Gus Perkins 'si, who has been secretary for as long as many of us can remember, finally decided to rest from his duties. A well-de- served rest it is, too. Gus has probably done as much for the organization over the past years as any single person. He has nursed the organization through some difficult periods in the past. His interest in the Association and in Dartmouth affairs has inspired many of us. To him goes a great deal of the credit for the strong, growing organization we have today. All of us in the Alumni Association of Northern New Jersey give a hearty Wah Hoo Wah to Gus Perkins.

Richard Baldwin '42 was elected treasurer. Dick as well as the other officers has shown a continued interest in Dartmouth affairs, and, what is even more important, a willingness to work for the organization and the College.

'36, assistant secretary-treasurer; John McCuiston '41 and John H. Brabb '29, directors. As a part of our program to keep men in New Jersey interested in Dartmouth, especially between the period of acceptance for admission until matriculation, our association is sponsoring a reception for accepted candidates and their parents at the Hotel Suburban, East Orange, on May 17. As a part of our program we will show the excellent film, My First Week at Dartmouth.

Lou Wilcox has been in charge of our program to keep desirable boys interested in Dartmouth and to minimize attrition. He and his committee, along with Ed Foley and many others have done and are doing a fine job of keeping the local schools and future candidates for admission informed of Dartmouth's many assets. The reception will be the culmination of a good start of an excellent purpose.
