Congratulations to all you Little Green Derby winners. Dave Hilton and his assistant agents are to be commended for an immensely successful job on the Fund, made possible by the splendid cooperation of the whole gang. And here's hoping the summer has been pleasant for you all.

Speaking of Dave Hilton —and for that matter, of a rather large part of Tuck graduates it seems that the old service has him. Dave was at Lackland Air Base working on figures the paper kind. Dick McFarland and Jim Balderson were also on the Air Force figures somewhere.

Just after we had finished the June issue, proud papa Ev Odell wrote to say he had a little daughter from the stork. Her name will be reported next issue when we unscramble our files, with the birth date, too. Speaking of offspring, since they are being produced by 'siers by the dozens, it is high time we announced that one proud ma and pa in our midst have a very outstanding boy. He is the Class Boy, which title belongs to that boy first born of a '5l family "conceived and dedicated" after graduation. If you think he is in your home, please drop us a card with your name, his name, and date of birth, so that he can be proclaimed, gifted by the Class mug (empty) and allowed to set fire to the Nugget. Drop us a card, anyway.

Here in Mpls., Wally Bush tried for the above title, but his isn't due until January, and we think the prize boy already arrived. Outside of eating a good deal, Wally is in law school at Minnesota and seeing to a Check Cashing Business (his dad's). It's fatherhood for Mike Choukas, as a baby girl was born to the proud parents on August 20th. Mike and wife are at Camp Lejeune.

Freshly Engaged:

So much time has elapsed since our last session that the now-to-be-reported engagements may already have been consummated in holy matrimony. If so, please forgive our lateness, but do drop a line. Don Morse and Carol Tupy head up the batting list with their engagement July 19. Carol Ann cheers for Wellesley, while many might not have known that Don attended Business School at Babson Institute after graduation. Jean Novak said yes to Craig Murphy last April and, for all we know, Murph and Jean are blissfully married by now. Craig is with the New York office of Deering Milliken and Cos. Did we tell you that Bob Moore and Anne Piatt announced their plans last March for a September wedding? Bob was a Tuck grad and is now with William Iselin and Cos. of where or what my feeble powers have no idea. Bill Miller could wait no longer, so announced his marriage plans with a darn fine Wellesley miss—not for long Nancy Pitts. Bill liked the snows of Hanover, but decided on sunning at Stanford Business *or is it Book Learnin'? We have before us announcement of Jim Culberson's wedding to Joan Brightman, set for April 27, so we add a Congrats to Jim and Joan. More recent word comes that Pat McGinty caught wary Jim Danaher in her snare. Pat went to the University of Oregon, which explains Jim's far away stare those last few days. Last we heard, a fall wedding was planned and both were working in Washington. Jack Aronson, a Tufts Medical second year man, and Lahya Sanford of Great Neck, N. Y., announced their plans way back in July, but on to the last milers.

Down the Last Mile:

Bruce Livingston (did we say earlier?) was married in the spring to Janet Vickery, and on hand with the water bucket were DaveWiggins and Joe Holton. Bruce and Dave are both old Navy men by now grads of Newport. Bob McCraney, also a Newport grad, made it Mr. and Mrs. last May 29 in a joyous occasion in Minneapolis. Betty Lou Peterson was the lucky gal. Charlotte Olsen and Jock Mclntyre will be Mr. and Mrs. in December. Their engagement was announced in July. Charlotte is a Hanoverian, being the daughter of Professor Olsen of Tuck School. Jock was with the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School in Fort Riley, Kansas. Bill Brooks and Joan Redfield were married May 3 in Montclair, N. J. Bill is with the Texas Cos. of Albany, N. Y„ and his wife is one of those good old Colby grads. Buzzing down the ranks we find Lee Goodman and Barbara Dalton taking their vows back in June. They moonshined on a trip to Maine and Canada and are living in Arlington, Va. Lee recently got his Master's at Clark University. Joan Beckett said "I do" with Kevin Travers in July. Kevin is now with E. I. duPont de Nemours in Aiken, S. C. He is a Thayer man. George Biggs and Jean Hansen have probably now been married, as their engagement was announced back in the springtime. Jean went to Pembroke and McGill, and George is doing graduate work at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N. y.

The Unsuspecting Bachelors:

Newport, R. 1., awarded Wes Nutten his Ensign bars in June. John Nahigian received his Lieutenant bars at Lackland Air Force base, sometime ago, as did Buck Scott, who graduated from the Engineer Center at Ft. Belvoir, Va. Dave Sargent gained a rare distinction of being one of four honor students who graduated from the General Instructors School at Sampson Air Force Base, Geneva, N. Y.

We have not heard o£ all of the 'sl's now fighting in Korea, but we do know that DickReed, Bill McFadden, and Mo Monahan are in the thick of things there. To them and all the rest who are in Korea we send our best greetings.

See you next month
