Joe and Virginia Schultz live in Marion, Ohio. Joe wrote: "So good to hear from you. I celebrated my 90th just the way I wanted. My son Jim , drove me to Cleveland to watch the Indians beat the Yankees in a thriller of a night game before a big crowd. My biggest adjustment was the tremendous noise. Next day my sister entertained us at her club along with one of my few remaining close friends. Imagine you too have found longtime friends scarce these days.

" 'Those were the days,' when Virginia and I made our fall trips to Melrose to visit Chick and Eleanor Stiles, see old Dartmouth friends and the Harvard game. Best wishes for 1990."

From Cincinnati came a green card from Vance Clark. He wrote: "Dear Rus, Go to the head of the class. Your December Smoker is surely the finest one any class has been privileged to enjoy.

"My latest was a trip with Marj Perin (who accompanied me to our 65th) and her daughter to Antigua over Christmas warm, breezy but not windy, good swimming, and no bugs, no screens!

"How about our 70th?"
