The baton has been passed from one co-secretary to another, so this issue you have a Drazen rather than a Levin perspective on the world. I recently attended an early season men's basketball game as the Big Green visited the University of Hartford. The squad could have used the awe-inspiring power of one Walter Palmer, succumbing to the mighty Hawks by 20 points. Seeing as I never used my playing eligibility during my years in Hanover, I offered up my services. The new coaching staff said they didn't have a place for a slow, Jewish guy with no hops and no jump shot.
Nevertheless, Greater Hartford's '90 contingent is prospering, to say the least. Ted Whittemore practices corporate and securities law and recently made partner at Murtha Cullina, LLC in Hartford. Ted lives in West Hartford with his wife, Brooke, and their three beautiful kids.
Seth Jacoby just got his name on the door at the firm of Purtill, Purtill, Pffefer and Jacoby in South Glastonbury, Connecticut. When he's not at the office, he's at the "office," coaching football at his alma mater, Glastonbury High School. Seth and his wife, Mairead, spend the rest of their time shuttling their two kids, Brigitte and Ronan, to dance class, soccer games and hockey practice.
Ronald Aikens writes that he and his wife, Donna, welcomed a daughter, Riley Marie, into the world on October 4. He adds, "Riley stands to inherit more than 30,000 comic books, 300 records and extensive D-Jing/drawing/wood- working/computer building/litigating/electric bass/piano skills (unless she...uh.. .decides to do something else)."
Becky Baggett missed our 15 th reunion for a very good reason: She was six months pregnant at the time with her first child. Katharine June Haspel came into the world a few weeks earlier than expected on August 27. In addition to being a new mom, Becky is a development officer for Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health.
Paul Haffner wrote of his reunion exploits, which were too numerous and untoward to mention here, in the chapter room of Bones Gate. But, he added, 'As I traveled home, I scribbled down a note that sums it up for me—reunions enable us to bring into the present those people from the past who helped shape our future." Paul practices corporate law in Cincinnati with Great American Insurance Cos. He still sees fellow Ohioans Sean Callan and Tom Erwin from time to time.
Jenny Bransford is living a whirlwind bicoastal lifestyle with her husband, Bradley, and their 1-year-old daughter, Alexandra Jenny writes that she's acting, writing and being a mom, "my favorite thing in the whole world." Ashley Kaiser and her husband recently paid Jenny a visit in L.A. from Portland, Oregon, with their three kids in tow. She also sees Julie Davis, Joe Neulight '91 and Nina Weber '92 on a regular basis.
Best wishes for a happy and healthy 2005 from your class co-secretaries. If you resolve to do anything different this year, make a point of e-mailing or calling Bill or me so that we can share some of your successes with our class? mates.
