Since the last report on the Dartmouth squash team, when it had a record of one win, one tie and two defeats, Coach Red Hoehn's squad has won two and lost one match for an overall record of three wins, one tie and three defeats. The lone setback was suffered at the hands of a strong Yale team which won 8-1 on January 10 in Hanover.

The one point against Yale came as the result of a default in the No. 3 match, scheduled between Stew Stearns of Dartmouth and Yale's Sandy Ewing. Both Steve Foster and Bud Addis, playing 1 and 2 for Dartmouth, put up good fights before losing 3-1 matches to Blair Murphy and John Dewey. Ed Boyle and Werner Graeve, numbers 4 and 5 for Dartmouth, lost in straight games, while the remaining Dartmouth players, Tom Evinrude, Larry Harrison, and Jack Buffington each lost by 3-1 counts.

On the following weekend, the Big Green took their squash racquets to Canada, defeating McGill University 7-3 on Saturday and the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association 6-3 on Sunday morning.

The squash team, like most of the other varsity squads, has a long layoff now for semester examinations and Winter Carnival. It resumes action on February 11 when it meets Wesleyan at Hanover.

TROUBLE FOR THE HARVARD GOALIE BUT NO SCORE: John Towle (22), Dartmouth wing, carried the puck deep into Crimson territory but had too much defensive manpower to contend with. Harvard won, 5-0.
