Thirteen members of the executive committee were on hand at Ed Warnke's on March 4 to button up last-minute plans for the basketball game with Hofstra College which followed two days later. Preliminary estimates indicated that our scholarship fund would receive about $500 through the sale of ads in the basketball program. By the time of the game the sale of tickets had picked up to the point where it was necessary to install several extra rows of portable seats along the side lines.
Those who couldn't attend the game missed a lively contest. It was 30 to 30 at the end of the first half and by the time the final whistle blew our lads from Hanover had forged ahead to a 68 to 62 victory. All in all, it was a very satisfactory evening from the Dartmouth viewpoint.
Two items of new business discussed at our last meeting will be of interest to the general membership. It was decided to hold our annual election and installation of officers on the third Thursday of May each year instead of the second Wednesday of June. This latter dale has sometimes conflicted with graduation activities. The meeting this year will be held on May 17, place to be announced later. It was also decided to publish a newsletter twice a year to keep our membership advised of "all the news that's fit to print" (and some that isn't). Willard Doyle '33 agreed to take charge of this project. We know a treat is in store for us.
