The annual summer picnic of the St. Louis Dartmouth Club took place at Earl Poe's on August 27. There was a fine turnout and an excellent time was had by all. Earl's swimming pool afforded welcome relief from the heat. Fran Worcester '3B and Ernie Grinnell '42 did yeoman service as masters of the hunt. We were happy to see a newcomer there, MaxPryor '46, who comes to us from Chicago and is with the Curtis Publishing Company here.
Ed Grace '38 has finally committed matrimony. He was married on September 1 to Adele Mary Junge, of St. Louis. We all wish him the best of luck, and expect him to have at least as many offspring as his brother PierreGrace '33, who, I believe, has six.
Plans are being made for a gathering with the St. Louis Cornell Club tor the Dartmouth-Cornell football game broadcast. Members will be notified in due course. In the meantime, we would be delighted to have many more attend the Thursday luncheons at the Ding-Ho Restaurant.
An August outing took 60 members and guests of the Southern California Club from Los Angeles to Catalina Island, aboard the 105-foot luxury ship "Celeste."
