Sarah Lyon and daughter Lillian have been on a trip around the world. Lillian graduated from Columbia University in January. Jackand Edith Andrews had a busy summer. They traveled all over the North Country, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, and Jack was able to get in some fishing. On their way home they stopped off in Hanover for a night at the Inn. We also note that Tom and Bess McGovern were there at the Inn for several days in August. Frank Cudworth called on SelwynDearborn in Woodsville, N. H., this summer and found him well and active. He still has the Boston & Maine medical and accident cases to look after, and it was interesting to note that Dearborn's father served the railroad for over fifty years as a lawyer, and now the son has completed fifty years' service as a doctor.
Tom Remsen keeps up his golf game, and at the annual Northeastern New York ProSenior golf championship held at the Shaker Ridge Country Club this summer, Tommie finished right up among the tops in the Class A (65 years and over). Arthur Sampson says he is one man against eleven women folks in his immedate family: Mrs. Sampson, three daughters, and seven granddaughters. So he thinks it is no exaggeration to say he is the most hen-pecked man in the class.
Eddie Hunter has asked Harry Gilmore to serve on the 55th Reunion committee, with Johnnie Ward, Steve Stevens and himself. Marion and Steve recently had lunch with Grace and Gille and we have lined up some preliminary plans for that event. The dates of the Reunion are June 8 to 10, 1956, so please be sure and red-pencil those dates on your calendar, because we must have you with us in Hanover next June.
