Unless the clipping services have fallen completely on their faces, the Class of 1948 at Dartmouth College just ain't making any headlines this month. Rather than muse about Autumn and what it used to mean I'll just catch up on the address changes. I can't resist a remark that my wife came up with the other day, though. As we were leaving one of the cradles of modern-day college football at its best, namely the Notre Dame Stadium, she volunteered that football games there just seemed to lack the fun that we used to have in Hanover where the outcome always seemed to be in doubt until the final whistle was sounded ... to which I merely added a long, low AMEN!
