The happy holidays ended yesterday, and once again one must face the reality of a new week without interruptions of gala parties and squealing children as they hit the living room to discover "Sanna" has been and gone. I hope you all had as pleasant a holiday as we did.

My Christmas card list is very lengthy this year, for which I am extremely grateful. Unfortunately it just isn't possible for me to plan in advance to send cards to each of you, so any who were slighted please forgive me those who were generous enough to send to me were:

Carll and Barbara Tracy, Paul Woodberry, Jack and Peg Kilmartin, Warren Ornstein, Lew and Dee Geer, Carl and Nance Struever, Terry Mapbis, Bill and Momi Ballard, Art and Betty Wallace, Harv and Jane Nolan, Chet Palmer, Mike and Lois McGean, Brud and Jane Becker, John and Joan Sweetland, Dave and Kay Strasenburgh, Bert and Sue Rodman, Lou and Pat Clarke, Ken and Mimi Wheeler, John and Nancy Stockwell, Jay and Barbara Rosenfield, Bob "Deke" Jackson, Summy and Nonie Arneson, Tom and Ann Swartz, Dave and Mimi Vogels, King and Jody Ball, and Herb Gramstorff.

From these, I got several messages, which f0110w.... Tom Swartz continues to enthuse over Reunion attendance. He says we not only were in the black by $100 but really proved that this class isn't the lame duck we thought. Tom's son Tommy is 7 months old now, he reports... .Jay Rosenfield is once again a civilian, working now as industrial engineer at General Electric in Lynn... . Lou Clarke is working for the Aircraft Gas Turbine Division of Westinghouse outside of Philadelphia expecting to be transferred to Kansas City soon—just like the Philadelphia Athletics!! John and Joan Sweetland received their important Christmas present early — on December 3, with the arrival of Jeffrey Martin Sweetland.

Chet Palmer is "up to his ears" in a horticultural business he started this fall PautWoodberry is engaged to Miss Sandy Brennan of Boston (and Radcliffe). He's been out of Air Force since last January - saw Bob Alden at Princeton game this fall - says Ort Hicks is with Encyclopedia Brittannica in Chicago hoping for overseas position - says JohnnyDahle is at University of Chicago Law School, which Paul discovered three weeks after he'd been in Los Angeles, trying all seven Dahles in phonebook, - and they all came from Minnesota as John does. One even had a wife from Duluth (as John's does), was 27 years old and his wife insisted that must be the one Paul wanted even though her husband went to St. Olaf's, not the Big Green. Paul says Spike Smith gets Air Force discharge this March. Paul expected to see (and drink eggnogs with) Jack Taylor (married last August) oVer the holidays Carll Tracy is soon to be a dad for the fourth time and promises to give me some advice when he meets me at this spring's Alumni Officers' Weekend in Hanover

I was in Hanover December 11 with some local boys, interested in Dartmouth, and while there for the day saw Dick Moulton buying his son skis in the Co-Op, visited the Sweetlands in their new home and with their shiny new son, and spent several hours with RayTruncellito, who is one of the DCAC's greeters-of-prospects when said prospects visit the campus. Ray's official capacity is line coach of the Frosh squad, but in off season he helps out the Athletic Department in the guide-greeter capacity - and does a swell job, too! Recent Hanover Inn visitors were RalphBurgard, now of Buffalo, on December 6, and Clarke Church of Manchester, N. H., on December 13.

Engagements of the month.... Bill Buettner of Glen Ridge, N. J., is engaged to Miss Barbara Inness Fenton, also of Glen Ridge. Bill received his Master's from George Washington University. ... Dick Hyman of New Haven is engaged to Miss Suzanne Claire Hagedorn of Gadsden, Ala., with a February wedding planned... Sheppard of Brewster, N. Y., is engaged to Miss Mary Elizabeth Albert of Rockville Centre, N. Y. Nick is presently captain and commanding officer of the 4th Special Infantry Co. U!S!M!C!R! in New York Bob Kendall of Oak Park, Ill., is engaged to Miss Gay Wilson also of Oak Park. The wedding was scheduled for December 18, so they should be Mr. and Mrs. by now.

Weddings of the month... . Dick Higley of Hudson Falls, N. Y., was married November 30 to Miss Marcia Ackerman of Morristown, N. J. One of Dick's ushers was Carter Hoyt. Dick is with Irving Trust Co. in New York. ... Chan Smart of Arlington, Mass., was married December 11 to Miss Dorothy Christine Rau of Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Two miscellaneous items: - Dick Moulton has been appointed assistant cashier of the Hanover National Bank. He started this new position today, January 3. Dick is married to the former Virginia Nodine of Newton, Mass., and has one son Richard Jr.... John Borys is superintendent of the new State Institute for Juvenile Guidance in Bridgewater, Mass. John received his Master's in sociology from Boston University. He is married to the former Eileen E. Brunette.

Guess that slows me down so far as new news is concerned. Hope I'll hear from some of you, and I hope you'll all by now have paid your dues. How about some ideas for fall and spring get-togethers?
