The inevitable finally came to pass as a mediocre Harvard team capitolized on the acute fumbleitis that plagued the green throughout the game and a good Dartmouth team managed to head back to Hanover with an embarrassing 21-21 tie. Evidently quite upset at their showing in Cambridge, the Green left New Haven the following week after experiencing a complete disaster; however, men, have faith, the Dartmouth team is a good one once they put it all together and I'm sure the rest of the season will be a successful one for Jake's Boys.

Please take note of the logo heading this column and a round of applause for BillMontgomery who created the constant reminder that should help all of us think reunion.

Our class meeting which took place at the fine facilities at the Harvard Tennis Courts, compliments of Charlie Curtis and Gene Brooks, was a successful one for 100% attendance was experienced. Roy Abbott, John Barto, Howie Smith, EdFinnerty, Sam Wallis, Sandy Saunders and yours truly met prior to the game and reunion business was the order of the day. Bill Montgomery our reunion leader provided a tentative outline for the great 20th to be held June 15-17, 1973 with joint classes of 53 and 54. As promised earlier, I shall report more data pertinent to the fabulous weekend during the year, however, rest assured that the reunion committee has really put together a schedule that reeks of a great blast!

Pete Eckert, vice president of Newark's Fidelity Union Trust Co., has been elected senior investment advisory officer. Before joining Fidelity in 1969, he had been with Marine Midland in Western New York and the Mohawk Valley Investing Co. He has been active for the College as an interviewer and in the Dartmouth Clubs of Mohawk Valley and Buffalo. Pete and wife Mary, and their family, Elizabeth, Thomas and Mary, have headquarters at 11 Ronarm Drive, Mountain Lakes, N. J. 07046.

Marty Cunningham a veteran of 15 years in the airline industry, has been named by American Airlines as manager of passenger sales for the New York metropolitan area. Marty will be responsible for all of the airlines passenger sales activities in New York City, Long Island, The Westchester-Rockland area, parts of southern Connecticut and northern New Jersey.

Marty joined the airline as a sales trainee in Rochester, N. Y., in September, 1957. He served from July 1959 until April 1964 as a sales representative in Washington, D. C., and then joined the general office staff as American's manager of convention and group sales.

In July, 1966, he was named manager of passenger and freight sales in St. Louis and took on his most recent position as manager of passenger sales for the Dallas-Fort Worth area last September.

Marty served five years with the U. S. Air Force during the Korean War. I don't know where he and his lovely wife Kathleen hang their hat but we all wish them the best in the new assignment.

American has it! Dick Bressler, presently vice president and treasurer of American Airlines, has been appointed head of American's Finance Department. Dick will report to George A. Warde, who was elected president of American last month.

Dick joined American in 1968 as vice president and treasurer after 16 years of operating and staff financial experience with the General Electric Co., where he had responsibilities for long term financial planning, management of the firm's marketable securities portfolio, administration of long-term department issues, and acquisition studies.

As head of American's Finance department, Dick will be responsible for the following departments: Treasury, audits, and security, management information and data processing, tax and insurance administration, financial relations and office of the controller.

Sounds like one hell of a responsibility, Dick. Keep 'em Flying! and Congratulations.

The column is a little skinny this time, gang, so keep the cards and letters coming and watch for Reunion activities in the next column.
