Added to the column you will see a fine list of 1947 givers to the 1956 Alumni Fund. Bob Snedaker, in his first year as Head Agent, has done a fine job with consistent help of his assistant class agents. We are close to our goal of 100% objective. Our participation index shows we need help from more of our classmates. The coming 1957 campaign leading to our tenth Reunion in Hanover next summer will provide excellent opportunity to help Bob and his organization direct our giving successfully.

Reunion plans take the spotlight. The first meeting of the Reunion Committee was held October 30, a Tuesday evening, at the Dartmouth Club in New York City. At that time, the functional and regional chairmen began their first planning for our tenth reunion to be held in Hanover June 14-16, next summer.

The Reunion Committee Organization is made up of seven functional committees and six regional committees. The Functional committee chairmen include: Joe Kurey, Finance; George Dalphin, Registration and Hanover Liaison; John laniri, Publicity; Al Hall, Class Directory; Bob Kirsch, Uniforms; Don Scholle, Food and Beverages; and Bernie O'Shea, Program. We'll hear about their planning next month.

Regional Reunion Committee chairmen and co-chairmen include: Jordan Eskin and FrankWeber for the Metropolitan New York areas; Townes Harris and Jim Shanahan, New England; Jack Young and Pete Larson, Pennsylvania; Dan Carroll and Bob Mortimer, Metropolitan Chicago; Joe Eisaman, Los Angeles and Pacific Coast; and Ed Sansom and JohnJoyce, New Jersey. These people will work with each one of us during the pre-Reunion months to assure growing interest and top attendance. They can help with personal planning and travel arrangements.

Each chairman will appoint his own committee members shortly. They will need our help. Let them know you are willing. Reunion co-chairmen Al Bildner and Jiggs Fuller deserve credit for their sincere and prompt efforts in preparing the foundations for a successful tenth Reunion.
