All campfires were in full bloom out at the Naval Air Station in Chamblee, Ga., on the evening of March 28, when the alumni of Georgia were honored by a visit from the illustrious Dean of Dartmouth College, Joseph L. McDonald. Some 64 men and women turned out for the gala occasion and a marvelous time was had by all.

A delicious dinner was served following a cocktail hour, and fellowship reigned rampant throughout the evening. A warm welcome was offered by President. Warren Agry '45, and rounds of songs were conducted by Win Snow '14, in his inimitable way. Even the speech - making was delectable, pointed and down-to-earl '14, The evening was complete by shortly after ten o'clock, whence all left for their scattered homes in and around Atlanta, that much wiser.

Among our guests were Mr. Ben Gibson, Liaison Officer between secondary schools and colleges, and Mr. E.L. Floyd, representing the Atlanta School Authority. Rom Powell '57 and his dad, Dr. Vernon Powell, were on deck; Herb Roskind '57 and his dad, and another future Dartmouth man, brother Stanley Roskind; Glower Jones '58 and; his folks; ErnieRogers '38 (Honorary), father of Wally Rogers '56; and several prospective .Dartmouth men with their families, namely: Bob Kahn, Charlie Dawson, Ned Neighbors, and John Venable. Alumnus Jim Brennan from Macon, Ga., brought along prospective Bill Baxley. and, would you believe it, old Bob Carson 38 came all the way from Athens, Ga., to be with us.

Prizes for the mostest present from the oldest and youngest classes went to the Class of '14 on the one end of the stick, and to the Class of .'48 at the other end of the stick.

Dean McDonald, accompanied by LouFortuna '38, made a special tour of the.famous Lockheed Aircraft Factory in Marietta, while in Atlanta, and even had the pleasure of a real southern cooked meal while there as well. Earlier in that day, a visit was made to the City Hall where further chats with Mr. Ben Gibson and Mr. E.L. Floyd were enjoyed.

TO NOTE: Dave Dorward 'is, faithful to the Morningside Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, participating with the choir in the singing of the Seven Last Words of Christ on Good Friday ... The presence of two prominent authors at the Dartmouth get-together on March 28, Chuck Palmer '18 and ErnieRogers '38 (Honorary) ... Walt Elcock '42, recently named president of an insurance company ... Ed Gingrich '48, proudly escorting his lovely bride-to-be, come April 14 ... That about covers Dixie this time.

As the guest of the Winter Park Club, Dean Joseph L. McDonald brought news of the Collegeand Hanover weather to Florida. Among the guests were (l to r) front row: Roger Holler 37,Dean McDonald, Dick Proctor '43, retiring president. Back row: Hugh Schwarz 40, newpresident, and Morgan Price '39.
