Secretary, 27 Hamilton Dr., N. North Caldwell, N. J.
Treasurer, 120 Bridle Path Rd., Springfield 9, Mass,
Saturday, August 31 - the last long weekend of the summer - Milwaukee leads the Dodgers by seven games while the Yankees just won three straight from Chicago to go six up — Congress adjourned yesterday amid the usual claims and counterclaims of accomplishment or lack of it - Tom Curtis is presumably on his way back to Webster Groves, Mo. - kids are looking forward to the opening of school with mixed emotions Carlos Baker and family are busy getting ready to spend the next year in England at New College, Oxford University and the old man looks back on what I hope was a good summer ushered in by '32's grand, one and only, 25th Reunion!
When this is read in the middle of October things will have gotten back to normal and the football season will be under way. The world series will be in the record books; Dave Beck, Jimmy Hoffa and labor generally will feel a lot better or a lot worse than they do now and you and I will occasionally have time to catch our breath and wonder what happened to the summer.
A letter from Chuck Adkins advised that Handy Auten fell from one of his youngsters' motor scooter and broke his neck, necessitating a stay in Mary Hitchcock Hospital, Hanover for about five weeks. Fortunately there was no neurological injury and we sincerely hope that Handy will be completely recovered and back at work when this is published. Chuck also reports that Jay Whitehair's son, Ed, was married to Diana Rodgers sometime during the month of August. Some of you may recall that Ed was the star fullback on Colgate's winning team last Fall. Congratulations go to the prospective grandparents!

A letter from Kathryn Bishop, daughter of Bill Bishop: "While attending my graduation from Mount Holyoke College last June, Dad played the college golf course with me and a classmate. To his great delight and everyone else's disgust he shot a hole in one!" Kathryn does not say how long a shot it was but we know that Bill is now a member of that exclusive organization, the P.G.A. Hole-in-One Club. Not meaning to steal Bill's thunder, but the writer also joined this exclusive club by getting a hole-in-one on a 208 yard hole with a #3 wood. When the shock wore off and I paid off, a wag asked "did you try to do it?" I am sure Bill would agree with me that it would have been more fun to shoot a 75 - or do you shoot 75 all the time, Bill? Thanks for the news from Bloomfield Hills, Mich., Kathryn and good luck to you in your future endeavors.
Lots of news this time, fellows. Let's keep it up - remember the request at least one letter a year from each of you. Good Luck! Remember - the excellent speech given by Dr. Bancroft H.
