Dudley R. Colby '14, of Omaha, secretary and treasurer of Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, retires on October 1 after 42 years with the company. The firm's operations cover Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

Although a busy telephone executive, Mr. Colby has devoted much time to Dartmouth affairs. He has been president of the Alumni Association of the Plains, an active Alumni Fund worker for 1914, and as one always interested in encouraging outstanding young men to attend Dartmouth he is now serving as a member of the interviewing committee for Nebraska.

In addition to telephone and Dartmouth affairs, he is also an active worker in the community. He is vice president of the Omaha Community Playhouse, a vestryman of All Saints Episcopal Church, a board member of the Omaha Council of Churches, and a 33rd degree Mason.
