Between the rivers, Christmas and spring, risen from five villages, the River Choir sings Bruckner, Britten, madrigals, Vivaldi: over sixty voices, the usual mix of shapes and beards, rinses and gray hair, save for one soprano: my eyes hurt; she looks so much as you did, twenty years ago, she might be your daughter: As dew in Aprille. . . .Te Deum, Dona Nobis .... I go to every concert.
