Say what you will about the East... its broken down stock market, its loss of baseball franchises in Brooklyn and N. Y., its bulging targets for the intercontinental ballistics missile, etc but, by George, it's still the trend for our boys. Dick Murchie has forsaken Frisco and has settled down in Manhksset, N. Y. The Fritz Hiers, back from Europe, have bought a farm in Cornish Flats, N. H. Whit Wells is up thataway, president of the Sibley Oil Company in Keene. CharlesPappas is in Manchester, N. H., and TomClose in Norwich. John Sanders recently moved to a new home in Tyngsboro, Mass., and Dr. John Wheeler likewise in Natick.

In Connecticut, the Pete Blaisdells changed homes in New Canaan, so did Dick Revenaugh in Bridgeport, and the same with Steve Tate in Westport. The Bill McElneas are in a new home in Cos Cob. By the way, John Mulliken, formerly of New Canaan is now over in Bad Godesberg, Germany, with Time-Life International.

Warren Kimball has moved down to Fritz' old home town, Pleasantville; Don Currier is now in Orchard Park, N. Y.; Jeremy Hodson is with the UN in New York; Tom Wright is over in Cranford, N. J., with Sinclair Oil.

As you may have suspected if you've read this far, I'm not well organized this month, having mislaid what tid-bits I've accumulated for the past few weeks, and am reduced to whatever address changes may have come through. I did cut out an impressive article about West Shell in the Cincinnati Enquirer last week but I've lost that too. I can't quote the eloquent and flowery tribute paid to Mr. Shell, but do remember the main gist of the piece that he was elected president of the Ohio Association of Real Estate Boards. West has been president of our Cincinnati Board and is presently a trustee of the Home Builders Association.

Malcolm McLoud's irregular ballroom dancing style brought about a small, unscheduled reunion a few weeks ago. The Boog was to spend the weekend with us, and on arrival Friday evening we informed him he was just in time to go to a trick costume affair where all guests were to appear as a movie title. While he is normally prepared for any eventuality, costuming is a bit out of his sphere, but with easy ingenuity he took out his key chain, tied seven keys around his' neck, and was off as "The Seven Keys to Baldpate." However, to get back to the fancy dancing slippers. Being a polite house guest, he asked Sheila for the first dance that evening. Someone got the signals crossed and rocked when they should have rolled or vice versa. At least they wound up in a heap on the flagged terrace and Sheila's right wing had flipped. So we caromed off to the hospital and Bud Coith came in from a dinner party in the other part of town to do the patching up. It was while Sheila was in having X-rays that we had our pleasant and informal reunion. What one '44 can do, another can un-do!

Well, to get back to a few more address changes.. . George Dyke is now down in Jacksonville, Fla., Capt. Dud Wilson down in Savannah, Dr. Bob Davis in Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Al Storrs a few rods west in Dayton, and Dr. Bob Petersen out in Denver. Will Sporleder is also out in Colorado for some reason, in Walsenburg. Len Landry is in Greeley, Colo. I can't give you any reason for this but Oscar Goedecke is now down in Dallas, Texas. And Don Decker is in Santiago, Chile.

I shall appreciate it immensely if while you're looking at the pro game next Sunday and run out of things to do during the half, you'd drop me a postal with any kind of news . . . even if it's only the score. We'll try to make next month a bit more readable.
