An excellent picture of our 25th reunion graces page 118 of the "General Information Bulletin" published by the College last July. This is the bulletin each of the applicants for entrance to Dartmouth receives, and this year it has been completely revised and lots of new pictures included. You can get one by writing the Registrar. In the '28 group relaxing in front of College Hall you will recognize Bill Treanor, John Flanagan, Snook Pasfield, Jack Phelan, John Gulian, Phil Orsi and others.

Harold Walter has been transferred by the Continental Can Co. from Van Wert, Ohio, to the main office in New York City. When we called him up on a recent trip to the big city, he said he is still general manager of sales of fibre drums in the Robert Gair Division, and has spent the past few months traveling.

Jim Fassett, who resigned from the Illinois Bell Telephone Co. two years ago and moved to Orlando, Fla., writes, "As you may know, my father settled here in 1923 and planted a large citrus grove. We are enjoying the 'fruits' of his foresightedness and in the meantime I am trying several small business endeavors to determine the one that suits me best."

Joe Mavon and Ralph Wiltsey have moved to Park Forest, Ill. Joe is an insurance adjuster and Wilts is general freight agent of the Delaware & Hudson Railroad in Chicago.

We secured through one of our Connecticut operatives a photograph of Rappie Bavier welcoming Frank Strong Jr. '56 into the family while his daughter, Barbara, looks on in obvious pleasure. The picture was taken after the wedding in June at the Bavier home in Naugatuck, and will be used, space permitting, in our next issue. Frank is the son of Frank Strong '27. The young couple are living in Rochester where Frank is an industrial engineer for Eastman Kodak. Rappie says, "If my two unmarried daughters show as good judgment, there should be a dark green hue around our household for years to come."

Walt McKee is living at 2115 Londonderry, Ann Arbor; he is Regional Director for Latin America for the Ford Motor Co.... Hank Moore has a son at Rochester (N. Y.) Institute of Technology and two daughters at the Cambridge School, Weston, Mass.... Jud Moulton, vice president and general counsel of the A. T. & T. Co. in New York, is living at 103 Circle Road, Staten Island. . . . On a recent visit to Washington we enjoyed a brief visit in the Shoreham Building with a former roommate, Charlie Gearhart, who is Inspector of Agencies for the New York Life

Insurance Co.... Clint Goodwin bought a new house at 833 West 3rd St., Mansfield, Ohio, recently; he is an attorney-referee for the Ohio Workmen's Compensation Bureau.

Craig and Eleanor Haines spent the Yale weekend with Cal and Genie Billings in West Hartford, along with Cal's cousins, Ted Childs '30 and Al Childs '32. Craig and Cal spotted the following at the game: Lew Beers, Craw Pollock, Herb Russell, Tim Paige, Bun Goodrich, Stu Goodwillie, Jack Kenerson (going down after the game to visit Ev Fields), Ed Sawyer, Topper Robinson, Bud Weser, Bill Morton, Joe Tidd, George Klein, Jack Herpel, Howie Whitmore (with a son at Yale) and John Nixon. What an exciting game that was! Every Sunday the New York papers seem to carry a big picture of young Bill Morton carrying the ball for Dartmouth, and well they might because Bill was one of the heroes of the Yale game.

Tax Connell writes,

"After our return from Japan where we spent 4*/2 years with the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission, I continued on at the National Research Council in Washington for a year. Dartmouth very kindly continued me on leave. As the time to return to Hanover grew near I was tempted by an offer that seldom comes to a parasitologist and I wound up here in Houston at the new Texas Medical Center. I have always taken particular pleasure in building up new organizations and here with both the new University of Texas M. D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute and the new Baylor Medical School opportunity stretches farther into the future than I can see."

Tax is Head of Laboratory Services and Parasitologist at the hospital and Clinical Professor of Parasitology at Baylor University. His son, John '55, finishes at Harvard Law School next June. He was married a year ago.

Publishers' Weekly for Oct. 7 carries a picture of John Phillips, the new president of the Book Manufacturers Institute, taken during the annual meeting, held Sept. 22-25 at Poland Spring House in Maine.

We have the sad duty of reporting the death of another '28, Art Lane, on October 31. Art had suffered a stroke some months ago and was receiving oxygen for some time before he passed away. His death was the ninth this year in our class - all from heart attacks.

Ed Zey's death was briefly reported last month. We wrote his brother, Gordon Zey '30, and learned that Ed died suddenly at his home in Mission, Texas, on Sept. 19 of a coronary thrombosis. There was no previous illness. His wife, Esther, was an active partner in their citrus fruit business and she is going to continue to ship the finest pink grapefruit in the world with the help of three boys at home, George, 14, Eric, 12, Charles, 9. Edward, 19, is at Texas A & I College at Kingsville, Texas.
