In the February issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE I gave the enrollment of students in B. U. as 27,000. Realizing that was an understatement I wrote to the University February 26, '51, for the exact number enrolled. By return mail came the following in longhand signed by Pres. Daniel L. Marsh. "Dear Mr. Bacon: The exact number enrolled last year was 34,202. The enrollment this year will he about 34,000. Thank you, Daniel L. Marsh."

Have an interesting letter from Willard C. Rowe '51, NROTC. Before answering it I have to see his grandfather, Walter Rowe '90.

The annual meeting or dinner of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Boston is a must for all Dartmouth alumni of Boston. It is not often that you can listen to two men like President Dickey and President Conant at one and the same time.

Have been reading the Dartmouth College bulletin, A Description of Dartmouth College. Webster, Choate and Salmon P. Chase are mentioned as three great alumni. Not even a reference to Thaddeus Stevens who perhaps was their superior. His dust reposes in a Negro cemetery in the city of Lancaster, Pa., "unwept, unhonored and unsung." Is it not about time Dartmouth College did something about it?
