A happy group of classmates and their wives gathered in Hanover the last of June for their informal 57th reunion. The weather was decidedly against us, being cold and rainy. However, good cheer and comfort were afforded by the Inn. Being housed there gave opportunity for good companionship and intimate chats. The old stories, somewhat corny, were retold. Reminders of former days were recalled, with laughter and good fellowship. Certainly the appreciation of the friendships formed on the campus over 60 years ago have grown deeper, as our ranks have thinned.

No formal affairs were scheduled. The groups gathered at long tables in the dining room for lunch and dinner. Many a conversation around the tables revealed that although almost 60 years out of college, these men are thoroughly alive to the problems of today. Jim Kimball brought slides of early and recent reunions. Ted and Peggy Hunter kindly loaned their projector. On Friday night Jim showed these pictures. Much hilarity was caused by the comments of the group, especially as the early pictures came on the screen. Many thanks to Jim. Our good host Jim McFate was so much impressed that he brought in his camera, remarking, "Never have I seen so happy a class group gathered at the Inn. I want a picture of it." Edna Hunter was back with her humorous stories and poems, like old times. She added much to our enjoyment. Another high light was Hoppy's return from a fishing trip, in time to lunch with us on Saturday.

This year was marked by the return of several who have not been with us of late. It was good to see them. Ernest and HelenEddy, Kid Barnard, back for the first time in fifty years, Mort Crowell, who came up from Florida, stopping off in Deep River, Conn, with Steve and Marion Stevens. They drove up to Hanover" a day early so that Mort could greet each classmate as they arrived in town. Others present were Perley and Hazel Grant, Howard and Gene Hall, Tommie and Inez Remsen, T and May Wood, with son Andy (1942) and his wife Nancy, Frank and Elsie Cudworth, Charlie and Helen Chase, Swampy and Nettie Marsh, Tom and Bess McGovern, Johnnie Ward, Gardy Cobb, Ned and Gertrude Warren, Jim and Floss Kimball, Andy and Jessie Marshall, Harland and Ethel Cate, and George French.

In leaving, on Sunday, June 22 every one expressed his wish to return next year. We hope others, not able to make it this year will be with us in June 1959. We could not close this account without a word of appreciation to Manager Jim McFate, and a tribute to our good friend, Adele Ives. Over the years she has made our reunions most pleasant and comfortable by her thoughtfulness.
