Wonderful news has been received from the College about the establishment of a memorial fund in the name of our Chandler T. White. This fund has been established by his daughter, Mrs. William N. Christenson, her husband, and their three daughters. Additional contributions may be sent to Blunt Alumni Center, Hanover, N.H. 03755. This fund will make an annual award to an undergraduate chemistry student to fund a research project. It is a most fitting memorial, as Chan White spent his entire working life in chemistry, first as a teacher at M.I.T. and Northeastern University and later as an executive of General Aniline and Film Corporation.
On August 30, the class lost one of its distinguished members, Fletcher R. Andrews. Fletch started in the chemical industry but changed to law, where he became a leader in the profession in the Cleveland, Ohio, area. He evidenced great courage and fortitude during the past six years, when he knew that he was suffering from an incurable affliction. The sympathy of the class goes to his son and daughter. A tribute will be in this or a coming issue.
Season's greetings to all you ' 16ers and to our lovable ladies of the class throughout the coming holiday season.
