George E. Liscomb, Publisher, takes down his hair and discloses the significant events of his life, at the request of a feminine subscriber to his Suncook, N. H., Sun. George states to the lady that he was born in Lebanon, N. H., was active in athletics at Dartmouth, coached football at the University of lowa, and spent many years in the newspaper advertising business in Illinois, lowa, Michigan and Massachusetts. More recently he was the founder of the Lebanon, N. H., News. A graduate of the U. S. Army Training Camp at Plattsburg, N. Y., George was overseas with the Army in 1918-19, and in the Navy in World War 11. Representing Lebanon in the New Hampshire Legislature in 1921-22, he also served as military aide on the Governor's staff. George has now been a resident of Suncook, N. H., for over a year, lives in the Richard Hovey House and publishes the Suncook Sun. Best wishes for its success.
Charles and Mrs. Richardson have spent the summer in Europe.
'07 has lost two of its members during the summer. Carl Roberts was struck and instantly killed on August 1 by a motorcycle, near his home in Farmington, N. H. JoeMahoney died on July 25 in Sepulveda, Calif., presumably during a visit to a son who lives in that city. Services and burial were held in Denver where Joe spent most of his mature years. Further reports will be found in the In Memoriam columns of this issue.
Don Williams, host-extraordinary, entertained a group of '07 men and wives on July 12 at Brick House, on Hurricane Hill, near Keene, N. H. Those present were Tim Richards, Bob Kenyon, Bill Ahern, Greb, Don Houghton, Allan Brown, Bill Sanborn, and Don Williams, and an impressive number of wives.
Greb reports that '07's off-year reunion was a very pleasant gathering of '07 men and wives, twenty-four in all. An unexpected visitor was Lawrence Churchill, who spent his freshman year with '07 in Hanover and transferred to Harvard, graduating from that institution in '07.
