Ethel West Metcalf, widow of Harry B. Metcalf, died in Newport, N. H., on October 8, at the age of 81. She had lived in Newport for 30 years and was active in community affairs. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Helen Park of Gilford, N. H., and Mrs. [Catherine Martineau of Cortland, N. Y.
