Phil Fast and Carmen Hoge who recently became engaged - Carmen is a graduate of Barnard College, lives in New York City, and has been a teacher with the Board of Education there for the last two years Phil graduated from the University of Michigan Business School and is now with Smith, Barney & Co. - investment bankers.
... Bruce Sherman and Nancy Green who were married in New York in November. The bride graduated from Wheaton College last June. Plans were for a wedding trip to Bermuda and settling down in Manhattan.
... Tony Franz and Lois Smith who picked 23 November as their nuptial day in Torrington, Conn. Tony was ably aided by Ozzie Sherman and Charlie Jacob in the usher corps. The new couple will take up residence in Norwich, Vt., where Tony is now interning at Mary Hitchcock.
... Bob Stiles and Martha Macquarie who recently announced their engagement and plans for a spring wedding. Both are from Melrose, Mass. - Martha attended Connecticut College for Women and Bob received a graduate degree from Babson Institute in Wellesley, Mass., after serving three years with the Army.
Blair Law and Mary Cox who plan a June wedding. Mary is from Port Leyden, N. Y., and is a senior at the University of Vermont where she is a member of Gamma Phi Beta. Blair graduated from the Pennsylvania Military College and is now associated with the Law Brothers Contracting Corp., Port Leyden.
... Jack Hall and Kathleen Bennett of New York City also plan a February wedding after the bride-to-be finishes her senior year at Cornell University College of Home Economics where she is a member of Kappa Delta.
... Fred Pollard and Sandra Jean Norton who joined in a double ring ceremony in Chicago on October 19. The bride attended Rockford College in Illinois and also St. Lukes School of Nursing, Chicago. Fred, after receiving his MBA from Tuck in 1954, be- came a public accountant with the firm of Touche, Niven, Bailey and Smart in Chicago.
... Bob Henderson and Carol Traylor who tied the knot on 30 November in Wellesley, Mass. Ted Spiegel, Charlie Jacob ("Have tux will travel"), Tom Bloomer, Phil Fast,John Crisp and Dick Lombard were there to make Bob's trip down the aisle a little easier. Carol graduated from Smith College in 1954 and plans to set up housekeeping; in Bronxville, N. Y.
... Bill Vitalis and Jean Buchanan who filled the Christmas Season with additional joy by marching the aisle at 4:30 P.M., 28 December in Appleton, Wis. - Jean is the sister of our own Charlie Buchanan.
Jim Porath who recently received his Certified Public Accountant degree and hangs his hat with the Thomas Donnelly Co. of Boston.
... Merrill Johnson who had a Regular Army Captain's bars tendered to him while stationed at the Army Medical Service School, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
... Tom Wiley who has been selected for membership in the Harvard Voluntary Defenders at the Harvard Law School. Organized izedin 1949 the group assists the Boston Voluntary Defenders Committee in giving free legal aid to persons accused of crime who cannot afford counsel.
... Tom Fraser who was ordained to the Christian Ministry by the Presbytery of New York in an impressive service in his Bronx, N. Y., parish, St. Augustine Presbyterian Church - A large congregation comprising members of the local church, New York Presbytery, Dartmouth, Union Theological Seminary, and Harvard were present to witness the "service of ordination." Reverend George Kalbfleisch, Dartmouth, gave the prayers. Mrs. Sarah Minter, noted New York and Baltimore contralto, sang.

...Dick and Mary Stanley are very proud of their first offspring, Clifford Read - an 8 1b., 15 ouncer. Dick is finishing up his MBA at Cornell.
... Ron and Lilian Lazar announce their own Sputnik, Satellite - Glen Harold, launched 16 November and broadcasting on all frequencies ever since.
... Bob and Ruth Newsom note a population increase of - one —in the town of Pacoima, Calif., on September 25 - His name is Gregg Hopkins - Bob writes that he is now working for General Concrete Products in Van Nuys, Calif. - He also passes on the news that John Bishop recently married and is working in Minneapolis for a travel agency, and that Fred Niles is engaged and working for Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical in Oakland, Calif.
... Dave King writes from Wiesbaden, Germany, where he and wife Lois are Army-stationed. Dave says his two-year hitch is up in April and he plans to return to work with the U. S. Atomic Energy Commission as a geologist.
... Bob Simpson announced his release from the Marine Corps on 22 January after spending an enjoyable last year stationed at Moffett Field, Calif. Bob says, "Am looking forward to returning to the East and changing the Marine uniform for the plebeian plebeian grey flannel suit."
...A classmate was recently sued by Columbia University for non-payment of a student loan and immediately filed a countersuit against the University in which he maintains Columbia falsely claims to teach wisdom. He stated that Columbia practiced "affirmative deception" in not telling him that "it was not equipped to teach pure reason."
.. . Don Smith is now covering 110 stores in Alabama and Georgia for Carter's Underwear Company. Don has had the chance to get to Florida a couple of times and says he really loves that state.
... Gil Osborn, John Van Huyck, and StanWestberg and wife were recently fortunate enough to have a short stay at the Hanover Inn
