June i960 was the beginning date of (Dr.) John Williams' internship at St. Albans Naval Hospital, New York. Lisbet, John, and their two daughters, Kristin and Ann Elizabet live in Fresh Meadows, N. Y. Down Cranford, N. J„ way Ray andDorothy Luebbe may be found - where Ray is working as a research chemist, and reports that February 1961 was the scheduled month of arrival of their first child. Snow covered Connecticut is still proudly claimed as the home of Marty and Sally DeGennaro and their daughter, Ann. Marty is Associate Manager for Blair and Company and was president of the Dartmouth Club of New Haven in 1960.
Since 1955 Pete Reich has been a sales representative for Simpson Paper Company on the West Coast. Pete writes from Los Angeles: "Still single as ever; spent a very pleasant weekend in Chicago recently at Jack and Margot Tukey's. They have a lovely home in Hubbard Woods and a cute little three-year-old daughter." Jack is working for Leo Burnett Advertising Agency in Chicago. And Ed Quinlan writes in from California that since July 1958 he has been a part of the U.S. Naval Medical Corps.
Darien, Conn., is the postmark and Burt and Judy Dorsett the couple, who on November 5 reported: "Having another child soon - perhaps today." No confirmation yet but we do know that Cynthia eight, Jeffery six, and Deborah four were eager to see what present the stork was bringing. Burt works for Booz, Allen, and Hamilton, management consultants in New York. Dick and DianeConfair hail from Elmira, N. Y., where Dick is in the business of bottling soft drinks. Nearby in Syracuse, N. Y., Hap and BethPresson and son Todd Eric, born August i960, reside. Hap is with the Employee and Community Relations Department of General Electric. Tom and Irma Napoleon are living in Boston, kept active by Joyce four, Neil two, and Nancy, born in November, 1960.
From Nevada City, Calif., Roy Jacobsen writes that he has "just founded the California Institute of Wisdom, as a center for wisdom education and book publishing, and edited 'Roundup of Untrue Quotations,' the first work of its kind published." As a Naval Officer, Bill Wolff is attending the U.S. Naval Post-graduate School for his Master's in Science degree in Physics, in the Nuclear Engineering curriculum. Bill and Jeanette are parents of two future sailors, Eric two, and Alan one. Home is Monterey, Calif. Last month was Mardi Gras time in New Orleans and Kelly and Nancy McBride were there to see the doings. Kelly is a package engineer there for Inland Container Corporation.
Since 1958 the State of California has been represented by our own Barlow Goff as its Attorney General. Gay, Barlow, Susan six, and Stephen four, live in Sacramento. And speaking of law, a degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School was handed to Lowell S. Thomas in June i960. Plans called for subsequent association with the law firm of Duane, Morris, and Heckscher in Philadelphia. The Thomases have three children - a son, Lowell III born April 15, i960, and two daughters.
"Have gone into business for myself with two other men. We have two very exciting projects which could achieve international recognition. Will write in more detail when definite." Word has just reached me that Dave Stanley has been appointed Union Mutual's Director of Personnel in Portland, Me. Dave was previously with the Simonds Saw and Steel Company in Fitchburg, Mass. He spent two years in this company's management training program before joining Sylvania Electric Products, Inc. in Waltham, Mass. Dave attended Boston University for additional accounting and statistics courses and has completed his first year's requirements toward an LL.B. degree at Boston College Law School. Best from all of us, Dave, in your new challenge!
