WILLIAM C. EMBRY '34 of Louisville, Ky., was elected president of the General Alumni Association of Dartmouth College at its annual meeting in Hanover on June 14. Mr. Embry is president of the Embry Container Corporation in Louisville and also head of the Ingleside Development Company. Past president of the Louisville Board of Education, he is chairman of the Education Committee of the Kentucky State Chamber of Commerce and in 1956 received the Louisville Advertising Club's distinguished leadership award for "continuing community service of an outstanding citizen." He is a member of the Dartmouth Alumni Council and a past president of the Dartmouth Club of Louisville.

Vice presidents of the Association for 1958-59 will be Francis Brown '25 of New York and Frederick C. Witzel '44 of Winnetka, Ill. Sidney C. Hayward '26 of Hanover was reelected secretary-treasurer.

George B. Redding '29 of Boston will serve as chairman of the executive committee, which makes him ex officio a member of the Alumni Council. Other executive committee members are Sidney Rollins '04, Newport, N.H.; Joseph W. Worthen '09, Boston; Roscoe A. Hayes '19, Boston; Phillips M. Van Huyck '24, Ridgewood, N.J.;C. Carlton Coffin Jr. '43, Rutland, Vt.; and Harry L. Hampton Jr. '45, New York.
