A "Report of the Sixty-Fifth Reunion of the Class of 1894 by Philip S. Marden" has been sent to all members of the '94 Family. This is the eighth Report of this kind which Phil has prepared and our indebtedness to him knows no bounds. Moreover, not only has he authored this Report in his inimitable way but he has paid for it out of his own pocket!

Eddie Grover's suggestion that his poem "Clothespins Dick" be read at the Sixty-Fifth as his "speech," by inadvertence, was not done. It will be remembered that "Clothespins Dick" was Professor Charles F. Richardson who taught '94 what it knows about English Literature. The entire poem will be sent to the members of the Class but here is the last stanza: Is there some tonic in the Hampshire hills For all man's ills?

Is Nature there so kind one need not know The coming of perpetual Winter and its snow!

Have you in rare companionship the sweet elixir found That keeps one young though centuries roll round!

Perchance in some far city of your poet's dreams You've found the spring where youth eternal gleams; Or it may be The buoyant heart of Nature is itself renewed in thee.

Whate'er the secret, oh, break the silence quick!

Our rare, unique, beloved Clothespins Dick!

Professor Garnsey, a colleague of our classmate Fred Bushee at the University of Colorado has replied to our inquiry as follows: "Professor Bushee's illness is mainly a general weakness of advanced age, rather than any specific organic disease. Just now he seems stronger and livelier than I have seen him in some time. His mental condition is extremely good."

The '94 Family welcomes the following addition: Mr. and Mrs. F. Sanford Martyn ('26, son of our "Kid") have the honour of announcing the marriage of their daughter Nancy Sawyer to David Ball Hanson, Lieutenant (j.g.) United States Naval Reserve on Saturday, June 20, at the Congregational Church, Rockville Centre, N. Y.

The new Executive Committee of '94 held a meeting on Wednesday, July 29, with a very satisfactory attendance. We were the guests of Mrs. Bud Lyon at the Brae Burn Country Club in Newton. The main business was the decision to hold a Matt Jones Fall Round-Up on Saturday, October 3. We are accepting the invitation of the Arthur Stones to enjoy their hospitality at Stonecrest where we were so splendidly entertained five years ago.

Overshadowing all other events is the death of our Class Treasurer, Billy Ames. Further comment will be made in this column next month.
