Might as well take advantage of some of the enthusiasm left over from yesterday's Green victory at New Haven. The Indians turned out to be the best mudders, and although it must have been an exciting contest for those who braved the rain, certainly they are no one prouder of the team than I, and not nearly so dry. So much for our football fortunes.

It is on rare occasions that a letter penned by a Mrs. fifty-five comes my way. The most recent "occasion" brought news from Joan Melville concerning husband Doug and family, and Dartmouth friends the Melvilles have visited or entertained recently. Doug undoubtedly has been sweating out the steel strike as he is the Connecticut sales representative of Jones and Laughlin. Joan writes that there are "two little tigers" at their house now, Hunt who is three-and-one-half and Doug Jr., one-and-a-half. Bris Lang and his wife, Marilyn, have been visitors at Doug and Joan's home in Middletown, but have recently moved to Rochester, N. Y. Doug is a member of a Meriden flying club and he and Joan have flown to Lebanon once this fall. Having survived the perils of the long flight north, the two of them were just about run down by "Pep" Perry mounted on his trusty bike. Mrs. M reports that Dr. Jim Wiggin, Jewel, and three sons, are now at Tawarra Terrace, N. C., where Jim's in residency ("I guess").
